"Everything you need for a few nights stay. Walking distance to local shops, bars and the Abbey. Situated in tbe heart of 1066 country on the high street in Battle East Sussex. Only negitive, asked at the recepition about breakfast in the resurant, guy showed us a menu, asked him if he would recomended it he said NO they have only been doing breakfast a coupe of months and pointed us down the road onto the high street to bakery/cafe. "We stayed on a Sunday night in a HUGE family room. Beautiful high ceilings and a stunning stained glass window in an old building. The room was clean and had complimentary tea/coffee/milk etc and bottled water. The small bathroom was functional and clean and met all of our needs. The beds were comfy and we all slept very well. The staff were friendly and welcoming. No hot food was served but the staff had lovely recommendations for food nearby. There was no breakfast but we found a nice cafe...
