"We booked this property as it could accommodate a large group. We had 10 adults and 12 kids and there was plenty of room for all of us inside and out. The kids had an absolute blast with none of them wanting to leave after our 2-night stay. We’d seen some negative reviews, and while the house is rough around the edge, we had a great stay and the kids loved the sheep, chickens, pool, basketball and tennis courts. "Feels like you have escaped from it all, but only about 10 minutes drive to the coast at Gerringong or the historic town of Berry. We made few visits to both, but spent most of the time sitting on the verandah soaking in the views. Highlights were feeding the horses and taking the walking trail within the property up to a high paddock to visit the beautiful Highland Cows (at least that's what we think they were). Our youngest enjoyed the daily task of collecting the eggs from the chickens...

"This property was excellent for two couples. The rooms are big and well appointed. The kitchen living area is large, comfortable and has with a magnificent view. We used the wood fire, the outdoor BBQ and found everything we needed in the kitchen.This very classy and well appointed accommodation is literally inside the old dairy shed and was very private sunny and spacious. We would stay again."

"We had a wonderfully peaceful stay and Budgong Lodge. Very secluded and pristine. Beds are comfy, great sizes, great bathrooms, showers and plenty of hot water. A real cooks kitchen and wonderful fireplace. This is a perfect spot, we saw wallabies and wombats. If you're contemplating booking, this is the one! "

"Somerton was a great place to stay in the Southern Highlands. The property feels private and is in beautiful surroundings. "My husband and I wanted to have a relaxing weekend to celebrate our anniversary. We’re so glad we booked to stay here. Everything was so easy! MIchael was very quick to respond to any question we had and does everything to ensure you have an enjoyable stay. The house has a magnificent large open fire and big free standing bath. The beds and linen are very comfy. Michael is extremely respectful of privacy. We didn’t see him at all during our stay, but he made sure to fill the outside wood box...
