"This property is perfectly placed in the heart of the Russell waterfront however once you stepped into the property it was quiet and serene. You would not have known you were right next to busy restaurants aa there was no noise at all. Very close to the wharf, with many restaurants and conveniences within easy walking distance. "The Manager was extremely helpful and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. The Motel was in easy walking distance to the Russell shops and wharf so we could just leave our car parked there. My Granddaughter loved the swimming pool. The only minor issue was the wardrobe was quite narrow so the clothes had to go in on an angle, but it wasn't that big of a problem as they could still hang up. We would definitely go back to stay there."

"The Matauwhi Bay Manor was the most magnificent vacation holiday place we have ever stayed in.The ground was stunning with gardens, trees, and “bush” surrounding this large Manor House. The views in three directions where of the beautiful Matauwhi Bay with picturesque boats anchored all the way around. The interior of the manor felt like we were staying in Downton Abbey. "A beautiful location with a homely feel. Well equipped unit for four, great linen, lovely balcony. We paid more to have a sea facing room but considering how expensive the room was per night (and a lot more than last time we stayed) it’s disappointing that one room at least did not have an en-suite. Towels not changed daily (due to “saving water”), extra cleaning charge of $30 pp for the “two extra guests” even though we booked for four people - surely the room rate should be for four people...

"Sea Breeze is an excellent B&B and Jos and Robert are friendly and welcoming hosts. They give you the travel experience of staying with good friends. The location of the property on the beach on Oneroa Bay in the town of Russell is fabulous. The room overlooks the Bay and north to the Pacific Ocean beyond. It is a very short walk to the beach and swimming in the warm water is a treat. My wife, who rarely goes into the water, could not resist the call of the surf. Overall a great experience....
