THE Location
Although this property is privately positioned, it is still only 1km to village shops, newsagent, bottle shop, butcher, bakery, restaurants and cafe. There are two public parks located at opposite ends of the beach which offer picnic tables and BBQ facilities. When launching your boat, there is a two lane, all tide boat ramp at the rear of Salamander Shores Hotel or a four lane, all tide boat ramp at Soldiers Point (approx 4km away). Whilst on holidays there is so much to do including: parasailing, kayaking, fishing, quad bike riding, camel rides, horse trail rides, scenic helicopter rides, scuba diving and of course whale and dolphin watching which has made Port Stephens a well-known destination for tourists. Try the fresh local produce or dine in one on the many award-winning restaurants. Nelson Bay is approx 6km away and the Salamander Shopping Centre is approx 3km away.

THE House - Recently renovated and painted throughout with a brand-new master bedroom.
This modern four-bedroom absolute beachfront home has everything you will need for an enjoyable Port Stephens getaway. Entering on the ground level, there are two living areas providing comfortable lounges, flat screen TV with Netflix brand new slow combustion fire heater for the cooler months, air-conditioning and Wifi. This area flows out to a beachfront paved entertaining area with an outdoor setting and a grassed area for the kids to play, with direct access to the beach which offers calm waters for safe swimming. Guests have access to a fully equipped laundry with top loading washing machine and dryer plus a bathroom with shower and toilet. There is also a carport and off-street parking with plenty of room for a boat.

Continuing upstairs is a combined, air-conditioned lounge and dining room, with two x 3 -seater lounges, a flat screen TV, Netflix, and a large timber dining table and chairs. The modern kitchen comes fully equipped with a dishwasher, fridge/freezer, stove, brand new oven and microwave. Three bedrooms are located on the upstairs level and offer a queen bed in each bedroom and two single beds in the third bedroom. Brand new master bedroom downstairs with a king bed. There is a large bath and shower plus vanity in the bathroom and a separate toilet. A fabulous covered full-length deck offers amazing water views, an outdoor setting, sun chairs and a BBQ.

With your own private oasis by the water, you can simply kick back and relax with a nice glass of wine, a good book or enjoy a BBQ on the deck with friends.

Great location and view - missed opportunity
The location and view of the house is magical - however the house is not looked after - was dirty, dusty, oven looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in forever and was unusable - cutleries were greasy - appart from linen and towels provided- no amenities .. the hose smelled like my grand parents places almost as if no one had been around for a while .. gutter were full so when we had so rain water was gushing everywhere. Beds were comfortables. House was advertised with a garage however was not accessible due to kayaks on the floor. Re property management had organised prior for a high chair and wasn’t there when we arrived. Was sorted in the end but when you have to pay an extra the least would be to provide the service - excuse provided was cleaner didn’t have the keys. But then maybe that explains why the house was that dirty maybe they simply never went to clean it ! Had a 14 months old (stated on the booking) so no very nice to have to dust etc since toddlers crawl everywhere ! The house could be great if simply looked after ..

Seaside sanctuary
The house was perfectly positioned, the beach is outside the back door. Fabulous balcony for those family members who just wanted to relax, chat and look at the sea while enjoying a glass of wine or do some watercolour painting. We enjoyed the bird life of kookaburra’s, lorikeets, magpies and black swans. We saw dolphins frolicking just off shore. There are canoes and floaty rings to enjoy and the water was lovely and clear. Good snorkelling nearby. Only 10 mins drive to Nelson bay for shopping. We will definitely book again.

The property was as described, beautiful outlook over the water but privacy was an issue with people walking across the backyard. We were also surprised that we were required to make up the beds. Previous properties have provided this service as well as a community pantry with basic supplies eg tea, coffee, sugar, tinned goods etc. what you use you replace. Maybe this is something that the owners could consider, because when you arrive, all you want to do is unpack and relax.

The property was in a lovely quiet location and it was terrific to wake to the sounds of the water lapping on the shore. The beds were comfortable and the house had all you could need in terms of furniture. The property though was quite outdated and could do with a refresh and a few additions to the kitchen like a coffee pod machine.

Lovely home, fantastic location
The home is just lovely! The location was perfect - right on the water. Despite it being rainy - it was still quite perfect. the fireplace and the sound of the waves. Very atmospheric. 4 x very comfortable and quality lounges, 2 lovely coffee tables, air con, fire place and toilet & shower on the ground floor. Fantastic space - oh and a fantastic big screen TV! We had problems getting the TV to work, and spoke with one of the owners (who was a very kind man), then spoke with the property management company and they sent a technician out. Super efficient. and very much appreciated. Upstairs was a spacious living area and very large dining table. The kitchen and bathroom were both clean and functional. Three well-appointed bedrooms completed the upstairs. I have booked again for later in the year.

10 out of 10 location.....but bathrooms flooded when showering as door don't close correctly...house wasn't clean..and there was a very strong dog smell through the house...would go back except for these things

Sept 25th 2020. Waterfront bliss . Family of five. Great house with plenty of room directly on the beach. Flat water perfect for long walks /SUP’s wave ski fishing .waking upto the sound for the water . Quick bike ride to local shops and 3min drive to salamander shopping centre and Nelson bay main centre . House was great everything was provided games books kayaks etc .we felt like we had our own island .bliss
