"A beautiful heritage estate of large proportions and character. The history was fascinating. Staff were friendly and helpful. Facilities were superb. A beautiful country setting with beautiful views of the river and farmland. Well equipped rooms, with all appliances you could ever need. Rooms were cosy and warm. We loved using the pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Highly recommend and I would love to stay here again, given the opportunity."

We were very pleased with the little extras that the owners have available like tea & coffee. 40 mins from Alton Towers was very handy with a Tesco enroute so we could get any bits we needed. " Whatever I say will not be good enough. We absolutely loved everything about this place. The beds and pillows are so comfy and the linen was impeccable. Its location is sublime. If you like being in the middle of nowhere without a phone signal, superb scenery and walks? then this is the place. We did not want to leave and will definitely be back. Finished to a high standard and impeccably clean you will want for nothing, other than maybe some mirrors upstairs and champagne flutes to continually...

"We booked the cottage for a week's stay whike work was being done on our home. It was a real home from home too. Everything's there, including electric blankets to warm the beds. Although thd heating kept the cottage toasty, we turned most off except living room and bathroom. Loved the log burner too, a real focal point. Internet provided was good, a bonus as the phone signal there is poor, as is most of the local area due to hills etc. Would certainly recommend."
