"Bali An Glamping was SO CUTE! The lobby and rooms were decked out to look like a campground. It's in a very central location in Shinjuku. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They served a delicious breakfast in our room - you have a choice of Western, Japanese, or Indonesian. We went with the latter and enjoyed it. No complaints!"

Rates reflect demand at any given time and if they’re too high for me, I forego in lieu of a more affordable option in the area. "A real value for money hotel - nice rooms (not big but this is Tokyo), really clean, secure, easy access to shopping in area and metro stations to go further etc. Great value breakfast offering to get the day started. Would definitely return and recommend to others."

"The biggest plus for this hotel is location, location, location. It is situated within a five minute walking distance of the Shinjuku station, though one needs to take the right gate out to be closest to it, (that would be the South gate of the original station). The room is of reasonable size by Japanese standards, and the nightly fare is within the range that one would expect for a prime area like this. A downside, at least in my personal opinion, is the checking-in process. There’s no such thing as checking in as much as one minute before 3 o’clock, and when one does check in it must be through a digital system that can turn a simple matter of getting the keys to one’s room into a protracted and slightly frustrating experience. All that said, would we stay here again if we were in the area? Probably."
