"This is a very tranquil place to stay, nestled in beautiful hills with some very pleasant nearby towns--in particular, Sicignano degli Alburi. We attended a large family reunion in Sicignano, and Mariangela, our hostess at La Tavernola, was very accommodating, allowing a small family photo exhibit on the premises, while also catering a delicious snack ("an evening under the stars") to finish up the weekend. "We were in two rooms below ground level, which were quiet, but no airflow. One room had a shower that was too small for an adult. They were clean and relatively comfortable otherwise. Breakfast was pastry and yogurt. We were able to park in one of the garages, otherwise, parking could be difficult. The location is awesome - very hard to find initially - it looks like it’s impossible to get to, but once you know, you know. Guessing that their other rooms may be nicer."
