"Hotel Dann surprised us! We had an outstanding stay. Everything was wonderful - the staff is courteous, warm and knowledgeable. Manuel at the front desk, Albert at the pool bar, Betty at the restaurant, the doormen, they were all wonderful (I don't have all of their names, unfortunately). The property is in top shape - I am very picky and couldn't find a spot that they don't maintain properly. The guys were cleaning the inside edges of the pool everyday!! I've never seen this! The breakfast is amazing, all that you can ask for, and varies a bit everyday just so it doesn't become boring. Fresh food, fruit, made to order omelets, all that you need and then some. The location is excellent - walkable, with a lot of conveniences around (supermarket, pharmacy, banks, shopping, and several restaurants within 2-4 blocks). We always felt safe, police presence throughout Cartagena is strong; you can take an Uber and be in the Walled City (El Centro) in 10-20 minutes depending on traffic, for about US$6-10 at the most. We will definitely be back. 10 out of 10."

"Wonderful place, about 1 mile from the walled city. Easy $5-10 Uber. Easy walk to the ocean, great pool, animals for children, playground, solid gym. Breakfast included, can go into town for wonderful meals. Impeccable service at all times—highly recommend. "
