"it was our 23 anniversary and i wanted my wife to feel special, we stayed a few times at Sundial resort nearby, an upscale resort. we have never stayed at this resort. but the Inn was way less expansive and we had a group of 10 friends. We came here , the best decision. My wife and kids loved it. The property was all newly renovated rooms were all new , well decorated , the beach was steps away , i fished on the beach and caught a few fish. my kids loved the pool. the guy in front desk was very helpful and super friendly, he should get a raise. never going back to Sundial again. this is my new home. "

"We had a great time. The short proximity to the beach, hotel restaurant, and parking was extremely convenient. However, grocery stores, and pharmacies, are rather far, roughly 14 minutes away by car. Goody bags are even given to dog-owners at check-in, including little poop- bags, little rubber plates, and even a blanket. Lastly, what really impressed us was the cleanliness and comfort of the entire room, as well as the service. The staff, especially the front-desk, was readily available to assist with any issues. It was a great experience. I highly recommend. "

"Tarpon Tale Inn is a hidden treasure! If you want a quiet getaway on Sanibel Island with quick access to the beach, a private patio and grill, access to bicycles, an outdoor hot/cold shower, a shell washing station, and beach chairs/umbrella/wagon - this is it! The owner, Joe, has an eye for detail and it shows throughout your stay. I wanted a beach experience and that’s exactly what I got at Tarpon Tale Inn. Other than to explore (Blind Pass, Bowman Beach, Turner Beach and Captiva) the island and pick up a few things at Jerry’s, I had no need to drive. Wickie’s and Tuttle’s are directly across the street, and a deli place is next door - the Sanibel lighthouse is a .6 mile bike ride and beach access is just around the corner is across the street. The king room with full kitchen was nicely equipped and the bed was incredibly comfy. So clean! The “no-seeums” were present and accounted for, mostly at dusk and dawn, not a Tarpon Tale Inn issue because they were everywhere on the island. Guests are offered use of bug spray in the office as a shared option. The Tarpon Tale has a quaint beach vibe I know you will love! "

"The pool/beach area was amazing! The poolside service was awesome. My only concern was me a senior and friend staying with me a senior were assigned a 4 th floor room with no elevator. It took almost an hour to find a space that had an elevator. Jared the security guy was so helpful. Then for check out the system evidently had an issue and tried to charge me for what I had paid for on Expedia. Loved the resort not the service or convenience "
