We had 2 scuba divers on the trip and the rest were snorkelers. None of us felt comfortable attempting to swim out in front of the house due to the rocky coastline, even though we all wanted to try. "This is a lovely well-laid out home with a functional floor plan, amazing view of the Caribbean and fantastic pool. The sunsets are magical. There were some challenges for our visit - confusingly there are no fans in the house or common areas, the kitchen sink and showers drain slowly, the oven doesn’t work on the highest temperature. The a/c units in the bedrooms worked intermittently- we had to contact the emergency phone number several times late at night for them to turn them on remotely....

"This property was clean, cozy, and had plenty of room to hang out and enjoy the view of the ocean from the deck and pool and a view of the valley below from the back of the house!! I would recommend this property to anyone who wants to be away from the busyness of town and enjoy a quieter area living amongst the locals."

"Our girls’ trip was such fun…the property was very comfortable for the 6 of us! It was easy to get questions answered by the host and property manager. The kitchen had enough basics for our needs. The resort is conveniently located; close enough to airport, Willemstad, and many beautiful beaches. We would love to visit again!! A side note: Be aware of the hills within the resort and many stairs to get to this second floor villa (if anyone in your party has trouble walking/maneuvering steps)"

We loved the pool and outdoor space, the views and sunsets are spectacular! Cas Abou beach is very close and one of the nicest beaches on the island. "The Pearl of Jan Thiel is truly that. Modern villa, clean and well appointed. Landscaping of property provided ample privacy whether in the palapa, the pool or outside seating areas. While we had no issues, staff was available, friendly and attentive. Would definitely return to and recommend this property. Helpful things to know: House is one of four mirror images of each other on the property. Rental car recommended - walk to beach is downhill but return obviously not."

"Wow! What an amazing stay we had! The location was beautiful and the neighborhood was quiet. We weren't far from shops and restaurants that were a quick drive or 15 minutes max. Mambo beach was pretty close, an easy 10 min walk (this is coming from a 7 month pregnant woman) or a 2 minute drive. Mireille was a great host and her communication was A1! Anything we needed she provided. We had no complaints!"

Our favorite part of the villa was the huge deck with couches, table and chairs, hammocks and loungers overlooking the beautiful golf course! Great views and don’t see other villas from there. "Overall, this property has everything needed for a great vacation. You are walking distance to Jan Thiel beach and plenty of restaurants/shopping. Communication with the property manager and owner was excellent. Beds were comfortable and they provide all the basics. Only downside of our stay is one of the upstairs bathrooms had an awful mildew/ammonia smell and the shower would not properly drain. There is evidence of previous water damage which probably contributed to the smell. It...

"We had a wonderful stay at villa vista Laman and are already talking about a return trip. The house was spotless, checkin/checkout was easy and the outdoor area was perfect for us and our kids. It’s an easy walk to the beach, restaurants and grocery. We will certainly return! "

"This villa provided ample space for six adults and three children. The location was perfect and only steps away from beautiful Blue Bay beach. You have a view of the ocean, the surrounding landscape and a beautiful golf course right from your main deck and pool. The villa came equipped with everything needed for an enjoyable stay and the beds were very comfortable. My only recommendation is that I could not find a broom to sweep up some of the sand that the beach sent us home with."
