"My wife and I really enjoyed this cozy retreat in the Oakland Hills! It has a spiritual vibe and includes many examples of artistic stonework done by the host. We liked the location about halfway up the hills, so it feels hidden in a forested glade - we heard owls more than once - and is protected from the wind that is often experienced at the top of the hills. "Lovely spot to relax in right on the beach, views of varied beach acivies: walking, surfing, kites, jogging — and for surfers, you are right there! Park Side Cafe has really upgraded, superb bakery, excellent chef. Breakers Cafe also very good. Bookstore and library close at hand, and Mt. Tam is just across thge street with world class coastal view trails and redwoods. Stinson Beacch Market is well-stocked — including fresh vegetables — and has friendly staff members. "

"The house is very eclectic and cozy. It sits in a lovely grove of redwoods and is very quiet. The surrounding neighborhoods are nice to walk around in. Teresa, the host was always immediately available to answer any questions we had. We really enjoyed our stay."

"What do you most care about when you’re looking to rent a place? I know what we most care about. Is the bed comfortable? Yes, it is. Is the place clean? Absolutely. Is it quiet? Perfectly quiet and still. Is it within walking distance of the village? It is. And it’s a good walk. But you can also drive your car. There’s plenty of parking. Are the owners nice and easy to deal with? More than that, they are kind and thoughtful. In fact, I really didn’t even want to tell you how wonderful this place...
