"This is a short walk to the dock to Isle Au Haut, multiple restaurants, a general store & the harbor area. You won't need to move your car unless leaving the whole area. The place is really nice. Much fancier than I needed. The woman at the Kayak shop (not affiliated) explained which door to enter the combination & some other details and even turned on an extra fan for me. "Great rental! Our family of 5 had plenty of room to relax and we had everything we needed in a lovely setting. The house was clean and well stocked. There is plenty of deck space and we enjoyed sitting outside to enjoy the peaceful backyard. It was nice to be so close to the lighthouse and a few easy trails (Wonderland and Ship Harbor). The Seawall picnic area is close also and a nice place to take in the view. While the drive to other popular Acadia spots is about half an hour, that was fine...

"We had a lovely time walking around the streets of Southington ME, although my husband thought he booked a place in Southington CT. Only a 6 hours of traveling difference. BUT, we had a peaceful time in the in the beautiful harbor. Thank you for your kind hospitality."

"We had the Mary Day suite, a beautiful view and a semi private porch for a front row seat to the boats coming ang going. A sweet historic town with just the right amount of shops to find what we needed and enjoy some local artisans. The property manger Trisha was very friendly and helpful.
