"I couldn’t believe how beautiful this property is and the attention to detail was impeccable. Even the lounge area with cappuccino, latte, pastries, etc. were a pleasant surprise. It’s in the perfect location too, we walked everywhere without any problems."

W Edinburgh
10/10 Excellent
"The hotel is excellent, but one employee, Carlos Junior Correa, made our stay memorable by explaining everything about the city."
"We were there doing festival, so it was a madhouse. Despite all of that, the staff member who checked us in was amazing. He took his time to help us with the bags, explore a restaurant options with us, and helped us during our stay. Really was a spectacular room excellent service a bit overrun, but that I think was the circumstances of the festival. "
"The best of both worlds, a modern hotel conveniently located in Edinburgh’s Old Town. Very walkable to major attractions. We had an air conditioned castle view room (not all rooms are air-conditioned!) with a great view, but on the weekend the Grassmarket area is really hopping until the small hours, so it can be pretty loud.
Hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating, amenities are good however the restaurant was closed for part of our stay so can’t comment on that.
If you are driving, there is very limited parking behind the hotel through an alleyway, we were fortunate to get a spot.
We would definitely stay there again when visiting Edinburgh. Good value for money and excellent location."
"Stayed in August at the time of the Fringe, Tattoo, and Oasis Concert- so a very busy time with lots of street performers and tourists. From USA traveling with 2 teens and 2 adults.
The Good- warm greeting, helpful staff, super clean facility, wonderful expansive breakfast buffet (included), bath products available in room, fridge in room, location to royal mile and princes street. If you want a walkable visit- the location was fantastic and the streets really cleared out before 10 am or after about 9/10 pm- so it was nice to walk about then too- which was possible because of the proximity to the hotel.
The bad- scaffolding over building and north bridge construction was not a great fit for the beautiful city and made a crowded walkway extremely tight. It also made negotiating the street crossing a challenge. At one time they were down 2/3 lifts- but they had one fixed quickly (not even a full day). The lobby area is very small and there were people sitting with their luggage making it even tighter (at times). If you use the train or tram, you will have a 5-10 minute walk to and fro (not really bad- just FYI)"
