"Good sized bedrooms w/ good mattresses, 5 minute walk to ferry; row of restaurants 3 blocks away but kitchen trash can was full, floors were dirty. No curtain on best room facing main street, bathroom smells,closets and shelves are mostly full, kitchen has no stove or hot plate."

"We wanted to stay somewhere different than your regular hotel and this was beyond our expectation. The host was quick to respond and gave us some wonderful recommendations on places to eat. The kitchen was well stocked with anything that one would need. The outside space was wonderful to sit and have a morning coffee. Would definitely stay here again the next time I’m back in the area. "I had a great stay. Check in/out was so easy, no hassle. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. My only feedback was that the decor and wallpaper was clearly very old, we’re talking probably from the days where smoking in rooms was allowed. Of course there was no smell or problem, so I still rated 5 stars, but the place is a bit dated. Otherwise the room was great, I didn’t find it loud despite the construction all around the building, and I slept well every night I was there. The...

Great Find In Halifax

"We loved the Sutton Place Hotel. We had never been to Halifax so we weren't really sure if this would be a good location, but it was very convenient and it was easy to walk to restaurants and the waterfront. The front desk staff and bell staff were friendly and courteous. The room was small, but the decor was very updated and pretty - especially the bathroom. We also thought the price was very reasonable for an upscale downtown hotel."
