"We spent two nights at Daisy Lodge. It is a very homely and cosy lodge. It provided all the amenities we needed for the short stay. The location is ideal if you wish to walk from the site or catch the bus to Keswick etc. The beds were very comfortable and welcomed after two long walks. Contact with Helen was swift and very helpful. We would definitely stay here again."

"We have had a lovely stay at the lodge, one of the most well equipped we have been to. It is great for the dog and secure decking spaces front and back. Just be mindful you will need to let the dog out on a lead at the side of the property as there is no garden as such but it’s not a problem. "Beautiful property, perfectly located amongst the fells. Quiet, cosy, rustic property. A couple of unforeseen hiccups upon our arrival, that the host quickly resolved. Great communication and swift resolution. Loved our little break in the peace and quiet, in what is a gorgeous cottage in a peaceful spot, perfect for fell walking straight out of the door. "

"A lovely 3 night stay on Bassenthwaite Lake. Lodge was well appointed and as described in the listing. Location is remote but only 10min drive to Keswick and exactly what we wanted. Recommend The Sun Inn in Bassenthwaite for dinner and even managed a quick paddle board on (thankfully not in) an empty Lake, which was bliss. Will definitely consider staying here again."

"The property is undoubtedly small. It was very clean and comfortable - a perfect base for exploring this wonderful area. Plenty of grocery stores and pubs/restaurants in surrounding area. A very steep narrow staircase leading to the second level of the property. I note this has been mentioned in other reviews too. Overall, my wife and I were very satisfied with the property."

"The house was exactly what we needed for a family gathering. The rooms were huge, the kitchen well equipped with fantastic appliances and the access to numerous TVs meant all ages were happy! "Owners of Cottage provided a phone number to call one week before our arrival. Numerous attempts each day and "no one" answered the phone. And there wasn't any way to leave a message. On our way to the unit, we had an emergency, one member, in the emergency room for 3 hours. I tried getting hold of the unit, no response so I called VRBO. We had to cancelled because I could not speak with the owner about our situation and their accommodations. Request complete refund."
