"Wow! This was our second time on São Miguel and first time staying in Lagoa. We chose Don Jose because of the space. This time my partner and I were traveling with our mothers.The location in Lagoa was wonderful. Close enough to walk to cafes & town center and easy parking.The home is so spacious. "With the beautiful and ever-changing views of the ocean and sky from the front windows, to the 2-minute walk to the best sunsets on the island, we so enjoyed the house. In addition, the back yard space was wonderful and private. The only negative was that it was difficult to get air to flow, insect-free, through the house. However we understand that air conditioning will be installed. Perfect!"

"It is very much like the photos. There are 3 floors and a circular wood staircase. Kitchen Living Room and bathroom on entry level, 2 bedrooms 1 bath on second level and living area and balcony on top level. You can walk everywhere in town, and we found parking on street with meter. The bed was comfy with quality bedding. The instructions for sight seeing were awesome. I highly recommend. We had a great visit on this stunning island. "

"Beautiful place and location on a one way street, a busy street, parking could be a problem. But we could always find a spot somewhere. The house had everything you would need. We found the top three steps of the stairs difficult for the 2 small children. Small grocery store right across the road, bakery up the road. Short walk to the ocean, fishing harbour, restaurants and shops We experienced 3 festival or celebrations in our week there. We would stay there again"

"Excellent option in PD for a small apartment. Stayed here three times now. Staff friendly. Close to the city centre but quiet and clean. This time we were sad that the resident cat was removed from the garden, it was friendly and made the place feel like home from home. The hot water supply could be a bit hotter. But overall it’s a great accommodation option with great people. And a really cute breakfast basket delivered each day."
