I've stayed in many hotels over the past few months including 5* and no frills hotels, so I am aware that you get what you pay for. BUT this hotel was an absolute state!
In the evening there were only 2 members of staff in the hotel, so when we couldn't unlock the door (for the second time that day and after trying for 20 minutes) we had to wait for the second member of staff to cover so that the other could help to unlock the door!
The room was relatively clean, the bathroom was very old. BUT the shower was so powerful you couldn’t actually stand under the spray unless you wanted to get blown away. The radiator in the room was on full blast and my attempts to turn it down did not work. When I rang reception they stated that maintenance were not in so nothing could be done.
This hotels one saving grace was the breakfast. It was freshly made, with lots of choice and variety. They even had vegetarian sausages, which I have never seen in all the hotels I have stayed in! It came piping hot and the waiter was very attentive. Also the view from the eigth floor was amazing, especially at night!
If you literally just want a bed to sleep in, then this hotel isfor you as the bed was very comfy.
