"Great place for families visiting Shimoda and Izu Peninsula. Definitely a hotel catering to Japanese tourists, but with a little Japanese and respect the staff is very friendly and works with you. Some of the staff spoke some English. Bathhouse, arcade, and hotel amenities were great. Walking distance to everything downtown and easy spot to drive to other locations. Would definitely stay here again with family on vacation. "

"A very quiet place, perhaps the season, walkable distance to train station. The ride along the coast was enjoyable. I had the best Japanese breakfast there overlooking the sea! "The property is a delight. The manager, speaks excellent English, and his wife were both so friendly and helpful. The property is in a quiet location near beautiful Sotorua Beach. It is so calm and relaxing. Shimoda is a short bus or taxi ride away or a 30 minute work. There is only one restaurant within easy walking distance and it is excellent. Suggest upgrading to a room with a private outdoor bathroom. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay."
