The Best of Siena!
We LOVED our stay here! The apartment is very spacious: The kitchen is very big with large windows that open onto a courtyard below and views of the wall and the duomo looms above--its such a picturesque site to welcome your day! The bedrooms were comfortable and we were able to watch some TV (Netflix) to wind down after a day of exploring the many hills and arched alleys and historic sites of Siena. Via Stalloreggi blends into Via Citta which leads straight to the Campo and the famous tower and site for the Palio. Side streets on the way lead to the Cathedral and the Duomo and the Santa Maria Novella museum (A MUST SEE) so there are plenty opportunities to see historic sites nearby. The street is lined with restaurants and shops--there are lots of opportunities to try all the amazing cuisine this area has to offer...and lets not forget the little markets and enoteca's in the area as well! All of our tour sites were within walking distance - but Siena is very hilly so do bring comfortable walking shoes. We stayed for 17 days and had an amazing time here. We are new to the VRBO experience, but I could not have asked for a better host! Daniella and her family are the warmest and most generous people - they opened their hearts to us with a warm welcome and heartfelt farewell! They were very responsive to any questions and were very helpful for recommending things to do and places to see. If you are coming to Siena, be sure to stay here!
