"This is our second time staying at Elk House and we love it! The house is a perfect size and in the BEST location. We had a minor issue with the TV as soon as we arrived and Joyce I startle took care of us. She also checked on us regularly! Just some other minor issues that need to be fixed to make it over the top. We will definitely be back! "

"Overall a pleasant place to stay for a few nights. The little cabin was clean and cozy. The down side is the traffic on Wolf Creek pass can be heard inside the cabin. There is a black widow living under the wood burning stove. The bathtub is very slow to drain. I would book this for a weekend getaway again. "

"It was lovely we hiked a lot , Pagosa Hot Springs did a little tubing down the Rio Grande! Did a fair amount of hot tubbing in the evening. It’s a beautiful area with lots to do! The cabin was nicely, nestled and felt very private."

"The lodge was great and met all our needs. However, the ad of yours does not tell you that a major highway was just a 150-200 feet away from the back of the lodge. Major traffic was constant and took away from the experience and kept us up at night. It was hard to enjoy the outside deck with all that traffic roaring by...especially the truck traffic. "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Spacious layout for large groups and the kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed the outside fire-pit and game area downstairs. The abundance of windows was so beautiful. Just a little critique...having blinds to draw down during the early hours would be a great way to let people enjoy the living area as well. We were disappointed in the lack of cleaning when we checked in, but were told that they would reimburse us for the cleaning fee. We had a bit of trouble...

"Great location and facility! The river is right outside your back door. Also reasonably priced. We had two couples and one single so each group had a floor to themselves. Close to Creed where they have top notch professional theare. We went in mid August so just know that at the end of the summer there are very few restuarants open in the evening at Creed or South Fork. I would definately suggest this place for families and large groups."
