My room was better suited for a monk than a world traveler, with the shower not separated in any way, causing me to hold the spray carefully so I didnt flood the room. Almost impossible.
That said, the staff was helpful, one even directing me to a nearby garage with pay laundry machines.
The area was good, near restaurants, a mall and metro. Plus, the famed Raffles hotel was only a 10 minute walk away. I'd missed seeing the hotel, undergoing a renovation when I was there 5 years ago.
Singapore is very expensive, so I was confused about the quality of what I was getting. Compared to other Asian hotels, I got much more quality elsewhere for similar prices.
If you don't mind Spartan living, this may be for you. But not for me.
