Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities
Avoid this place at all costs. I checked out after night 1 of my 14 day stay. Hotel 81 TriStar refused to give a refund. Expedia tried unsuccessfully as well.
- The bed wasn't a King sized bed as pictured in the Expedia description. Instead two twin beds combined.
- I booked a city view room but got a pool side review. Staff said it was because they were busy they couldn't give me the room I booked.
- the hotel listing advertises digital TV channels. Instead it's just 6 channels that appear to be over the air channels. Very staticy hard to see the picture
- The air conditioning didn't work. The room was extremely hot even with the AC as low as you can go
- The toilet was very old & dirty
- the tub was stained, the shower didn't have hot water. The water pressure was very weak and you couldn't move the shower head, it barely came up to my stomach.
- They didn't provide soap in the bathroom.
- the chair at the desk was worn and scrapped my leg sitting in it
- The Wi-Fi was very very very slow & kept crashing.
I couldn't stay here another night and booked another better hotel in Singapore after night #1. I asked for at least 10 days of the 14 days refunded but the hotel told Expedia they wouldn't refund.
Avoid this place at all costs. Wish I could get my money back. I've visited 10 countries and stayed in many hotels. This was the worst stay ever!
