This was a great base in Slough. It's a few minutes walk to the train station and a large Tesco. Rooms are large and high quality with good amenities. Staff were helpful and available as needed. Restaurant was great for dinner and breakfast.

this hotel is on the top several floors of a random building. there is no way to pull up in front of the hotel and drop off bags of check in. So plan on carrying all of your bags several blocks just to check in. then you need to go through the gym door, get buzzed through several other doors before you will get to the check in desk on the upper floors. We wasted an hour trying find the hotel and then check in on a late rainy night.

The room itself was quite good, although it could've benefitted from better lighting. Breakfast was pretty good (although veg sausage option not available, even though the sign advertising it was displayed). The worst part of our stay: no clear info/communication re: parking and unloading. There's a parking lot that's free for hotel guests not too far away, but it's labeled for Moxy guests only, not Residence Inn. We wasted about 45 min trying to get a parking app to work, then finally walked to the hotel and found out we could use the free Moxy lot. WHY would this not be communicated clearly ahead of time?? And why does the parking lot signage not indicate that it's also for Residence Inn guests? Also, it was highly unusual to not be able to unload our bags before parking; there was no clear/marked way to do that. We later found out that there's sort of a place for that, but again, this was in no way communicated ahead of time, either on the website or in check-in information. Very frustrating! The desk employees who helped were doing the best they could, and we do appreciate being allowed to check into our room early. The problem seems to lie with the overall management and communication of policies. Really hope they figure out a way to address this.

It was incredible particularly to the member of staff that helped one carry the cases up to our room to the lovely lady which is the blonde hair I can’t remember her name I’m so sorry but she was amazing, absolutely beautiful and stunning thank you so much everybody at the hotel it was incredible

Noise in public areas
The Moxy and Residence are in the same building. I could see at the time of booking the Moxy is an 'edgey' brand, not for someone in their 70s. Residence looked more conventional and meeting my needs. In the 'dining room' there was pounding bass music with screeching synthesised vocals (maybe what you would expect in edgey Moxy), I asked for somewhere quiet to take my dinner and was bluntly told NO we have loudspeakers throughout. The £22.95 dinner offer is a bit of a con, some starter and main course combos are less than than that. My starter came promptly but after another hour my main had not, after enduring the noise I left - they waived the charge. The toilet in the room did not flush properly. The rooms are nice and the location great for pausing a journey from Heathrow to the west via Slough/Reading stations but I will not stay there again. Indeed it has seriously tarnished my view of Marriot Bonvoy. I could hear the 'music' in my room on 5th floor up to 11pm, don't which noisy public area 4 floors above or below it came from.
