"A group of friends go away together every MLK weekend. We're pretty picky about the place we stay in, as we need enough beds for 9-10 women, a good number of bathrooms, a big living room for us to all gather in, a large table to eat at and craft on, and a kitchen big enough for us to cook various meals. This house fit the bill, and we had a lovely stay. All communication was prompt, we were allowed to check out 2 hours later because of the snow, and we even got some fresh eggs delivered to us...

"What a great stay! We stayed 2 nights and wish we'd done 3. The house was clean and super cute, especially with the themed bedrooms. Beds were comfortable, kitchen had all the basics we needed, plus some baggies of feed for the goats. Everything worked great and there were plenty of towels and extra pillows and blankets if needed (also noticed a pack n play with sheets, though we didn't use it). "Close to home but far enough to leave worries behind. We checked out local breweries and all were delicious with great atmosphere. Dinner in Emmitsburg was divine and they even gave me a single red rose for Valentine's. We loved the history and charm, the property for walking, and we played some of the very old board games in the home. The owner was very responsive and helpful with navigating the snowy driveway and cleared a path to the door! We reccommend highly and will definitely return!"

"Great staff. Excellent communication. Room very nice. Clean. Spacious. New remodel. Modern farmhouse decor feel. The single issue I had was the loud heating system right next to my bed in my room. I got very little sleep and it put a big dent in my otherwise lovely stay. I had adjoining rooms with my son and grandkids, and it did not bother my son at all. Same sound in his room. He said it “lulled” him to sleep. Not me. LOL. So if you need quiet in order to sleep, maybe ask about a quieter...
