"We had a great time at the lodge, it was spacious, well presented and in a nice wuiet location. All amenities were as listed and we didn't find anything wanting. The children found lots to do at the hoburne site and we could relax in the peaceful surroundings. Overall, a wonderful base ro explore the area. "

"The staff were great and Roy, the manager, was friendly, attentive, and helpful. The room (suite) was wonderful and had all the amenities we could want. The property is located in a quiet section only a block or so away from many restaurants and shopping. Transportation by bus was nearby and the trains were within a short bus ride. We would gladly stay there again."

"A lovely 2 day break at the lakes, so peaceful and relaxing. Spa is great too and we pretty much had it to ourselves most of the time. Food in the tipi was also great, would have liked to have seen some more sweet breakfast and healthy options though. It would also be great if there was an on-site shop to buy any groceries/essentials to save having to drive elsewhere."

The kitchen was very functional, had all we needed, so we just brought the food. The bed was comfortable, clean and convenient bathroom. "Accommodation is located centrally and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Beds were clean and comfortable. Kitchen is a lovely space to come together with family. Add £13 per day for parking as the place has not its own parking. The place is clean but I gave it a 3 for cleaning because there were empty food boxes behind the desk in the main bedroom. Towels were clean but old . Communication was great and we will definitely go back again but will ask them to pay a little more...

"Stayed with a group of cycling friends, some from up north, some from London. This is a great location as it sits nicely in the middle. Also the local countryside makes for excellent cycling with lovely little villages and great pubs. The house was perfect for us and We had a fantastic weekend. "

"This house is beautiful and sparse. We were a group of 8 adults and the house did not feel crowded at all. Unfortunately, the BBQ shown in the garden images does not work, however this was not necessarily mentioned as an amenity in the listing. The only place this house loses points is in its cleanliness - this really was not up to standard, as mentioned in previous reviews. Shower drains were full of hair from previous visitors; multiple bedrooms had either old food, empty wine or water...

"This cottage was perfect for our stay. The hosts have really kept this property up with modern features and tons of charm. The only thing better than the accommodations was the town. Met the sweetest locals and had our fill of good food and drinks. We will absolutely be coming back to stay! "

"Everything went perfectly for us. We collected our keys from a very helpful gentleman at the bar in The Old Fleece next door and enjoyed a pint in the sunshine before being shown down to The Stable. The room was very clean and tidy and apart from the rather imposing tv was very much to our taste. Highly recommended"
