"The whole family loved the pool and enjoyed the tennis court. Using the cottages for 4 people means that 2 people in the attic look down on the 2 below. The Wi-Fi in Oast did not work. We said this but it was not made good as promised. (This is trivial) The family loved it and would book again. The online listing did not say how good the pool is."

"A lovely homely cottage, comfortable and well equipped, with a rather special riverside location offering views and privacy. Our first time to this area so enjoyed some river walks and hearing interesting history of Rowhedge gleaned from the very friendly locals. We only had a short stay but got a lot in , including a trip to Wivenhoe on the riverside opposite. Will definitely rebook next time we are 'out East' ."

"We spent a week at Penn Court Estate, it was the perfect get away for our family holiday this year. The cottages are lovely and well equipped, comfy beds, good living spaces and plenty of bathrooms. The estate is very secure, quite and pretty, the children in our group had a wonderful time running through the trees and playing in the very clean pool.
