"Beautiful ocean views from the lounge and dining area (best thing I can say about this cottage) but old. You have to walk like a crab while bending over to get into bed in the main bedroom upstairs due to the low, angled ceiling. Shower cubicle was 2/3 normal shower size so very, very tight and uncomfortable for an adult. Owner forgot to send an SMS with check-in details, so we had to phone him. No answer but he phoned back quickly. There were no staff onsite. The cafe and gallery were shut. There was no one to help if you needed help. When I rang the owner the second time it was to ask about where I should find the “ample breakfast” that was promised on our booking. His reply was “We haven’t done that for awhile now and I thought that was taken off the listing but there was a computer glitch a few months ago and breakfast was listed”. Nothing was offered to us because “it was complimentary” he said. Chocolates were also promised on our booking, but they weren’t provided either. Port was promised on the booking too and it was available, however it was in a decanter, unlabelled and who knows what was actually in it. 10am checkout was strictly stated on a sign within the cottage. Late checkout incurs a $15 per 15 minute fee, so don’t check-out late! "
