"The hotel was exactly what we wanted, low cost but good quality. We were there for the skiing not the hotel. The menus was limited however, we chose to eat out where there was more choice and better value. "
"Thankfully this wasn’t my first trip to Saas-Fee or I’d never go back…
I’ve been going for more than 10 years and we have a place in the village but needed somewhere bigger to accommodate family.
Topline… the place is well past its sell by date and the interaction with the hosts - Saas Holidays - wasn’t great.
On arrival we had our apartment number on our booking and told the concierge on the phone. He said that he didn’t have the booking reference so as long as we had the number on our...

Hotel Victoria Lauberhorn Wengen, a Faern Collection Hotel
5/5 Excellent
"I want to get the obvious out of the way…They are currently renovating all of the balconies. The ones that are complete - look beautiful. This did not bother us a bit because they are not putting people in those rooms and work stops at night anyway. It would be the only improvement I was going to mention. The staff at the desk (along with their “mascot” a very friendly black poodle) were very helpful and friendly. Location could not be better. We got off the train and had a two minute walk to the hotel entrance. That was awesome! Speaking of awesome - after hiking down to Laughterbrunnen and walking the valley it was amazing to come back and hop into the outdoor hot tub. It looks over the train station with great views of the mountains and surrounding area. We liked the size of the room and had plenty of space for our belongings without interfering with our other space. There were also some English speaking channels for unwinding in bed at night. The bathroom shower was a bit small but would definitely not be enough to keep us from coming back. As mentioned there is a nice hot tub. There is also a quiet solarium like place to relax as well as a full spa and an indoor pool that we really enjoyed as well. Oh! And I can’t forget the great staff that greeted us every morning for breakfast in the dining room. Always smiling and willing to talk. Breakfast is included by the way!! We definitely look forward to visiting again. "

"This is a new hotel with spectacular contemporary design and great attention to guest comfort. Although the county road and rail line to Zermatt are close, the soundproofing is excellent and my room was totally quiet. Mountain views in all four directions. Direct elevator to parking. Two upscale supermarkets nearby provide lots of affordable healthy meal options. Transport connections to Zermatt are as convenient as if you were staying in Zermatt."

"Location, location, location! The location of this hotel is unbeatable. Seriously it’s just right in front of the train station. You can wear your ski boots with your ski gears walk out from the hotel’s ski room directly to catch the train in 2 mins. It’s just like a ski-in/ski-out hotel to Zermatt. The free breakfast was good while dinner lack of choices. Overall, it’s an excellent hotel if you want to ski in Zermatt, but don’t want to stay in Zermatt town (No car allowed)."
