"Comfortable apartment with a serviceable kitchen. No microwave and little hot water for dishes. The shower had hot water. Washing machine is old and rusty on outside and the door doesn’t fully open because of the bidet. Just be careful using it. It does clean! Smart TV in bedroom only. Quiet location. "4 French-Canadian friends imagined themselves living their best Italian life for their 40th birthday, in a villa with their families. Well we lived the dream, and then some! The villa is simply exquisite. Yes, it's (very) hot in summer, but the quality of the house, the pool, the view, the proximity to great places like Vietri, are all well worth it. "I have stayed in many villas including rural Italy before. This is actually the worst I've stayed in. The facts are the access to the villa is up a rough rubble and grit track, it's parking area has well established weeds. The patio was dirty and leafy , I was told "it is the countryside and leaves fall" but it didn't account for the old pair of wellingtons, the stale bread in a plastic bag, the bit of wrought iron or the patio table covered in a very dirty cloth with 5 plants and a broken vase...

"For the most part the apartment was clean and the bed was comfortable. The apartment has plenty of storage. The entire building is under construction and lots of dirt from the outside gets inside. The noise from the construction starting at 7-8 am on most days was very disturbing. There were days that jack hammers were used right outside the door. In addition, the traffic and people talking outside the window sometimes until 1am, made it difficult to sleep. I had to wear ear plugs to fall...

"Casa Rosa is a large house with space and comfort for 8 although we were only 7. The pool is large and Guiseppe keeps it beautifully clean. The house is located within an hour of Pompeii, Herculaneum, Paestum the Amalfi Coast and is an ideal place to sight see all the extraordinary monuments around Vesuvius. Guiseppe is kind and responsive host, his neighbours less so but he did everything to make our stay a happy and agreeable one. "
