Stay away! Host left us stranded & won't refund
I spoke with Dennis to confirm our stay 2 days before check-in. At check-in time, the keys were nowhere to be found. Dennis wouldn't answer my calls or messages. My family and I were left stranded on the streets after a long 18-hour flight.
I contacted VRBO support who told me Dennis double-booked and was unwilling to cancel my booking. He wanted me to cancel but the listing has a no-cancellation policy which means he gets to keep the money if I cancelled.
The entrance to the listing is super dirty. While I was waiting there, there was stinky rubbish and food scraps left out front. Ants and cockroaches were crawling around.
The neighbors are also weary. They stated that short-term rentals weren't allowed in the building but the host is violating the rules anyway and causing stress on the neighbors.
The area is also very loud because it is on a main road and near the airport. You can hear the roar of every takeoff and landing and the pollution is just as bad. My fingers were dirty from touching the empty check-in lockbox.
Please we aware of the poor customer service and getting ghosted by Dennis before you book. I don't want any one else to have the same horrifying experience.
