I wouldn't recommend this hostel. Whether it's reflective of all hostels in Sydney I'm not sure but the place is really rundown, it's warm, smells, rotting wood, cleanliness is poor. I'd understand if the hostel was in a small town but not Sydney. Spend a bit more and stay at wakeup if you must stay in Sydney
Aged limit not good but let me stay there as I had just been let out of hospital so thanks for that it needs tiring in with hotel. Come

Cheap and cheerful, and I've had worse!
A nice welcome and helpful girl on reception upon arrival and check-out, free continental breakfast and free coffee was most welcome. Nice outdoor area, very good WiFi. Shared bathroom for room 1 at least was via the shared kitchen, not overly convenient! Dorm room 1 had no air conditioning so two huge noisy fans and an open window were needed to cool the place down. All the staff were lovely too. The area's not bad but not great either. It's quite close to major roads through and out of the city, so can get rather noisy. Better than being right in the centre next to drinking venues I suppose! Overall I would stay again, but it wouldn't be my top choice. If Australia wasn't so expensive for hotels I'd have stayed in one of those!
