"We really enjoyed our stay. We are a family of four and we had the two bedroom apartment off the pool. The rooms have a rustic tropical vibe that is minimalist and clean. We did not try to cook so I can’t speak to those supplies. Linens were comfortable. Bathroom was pretty spacious actually for a small rental. Air conditioner worked well and the temperature was always comfortable. Pool was wonderful - kept quite clean and never too busy. We had a patio off the pool with a large spacious table and bench. We had the breakfast included option and it did not disappoint! They wait for you to wake up and come outside to the patio, where they’ve already set your table. The breakfasts were so good - cooked on the spot and lots of local traditional foods with local fruits and fresh smoothies. Definitely recommend! The hotel is on the small side, which gives it a very personal feel. It was like our own little private oasis in the heart of the town. Very walkable. A small group of staff were very kind and professional and helped whenever you needed anything. I would definitely stay again. Wifi is spotty, fyi"

"Property is situated at the top of the hill in tamarindo overseeing the beach from room balcony. While the hotel is not closer to town / beach, they have shuttles that would take you to the town and to another beach front resort where you can lounge, chill and enjoy the beach. Overall good place to stay! "

"This was by far our favourite vacation. The staff at this location were amazing! The bartenders, wait staff, chef, concierge and cleaning staff did absolutely everything possible to make our stay so wonderful. Our room was like something out of a dream. Private and yet social when we wanted. Location was best location. Short walk to all the shops and restaurants. 100/10. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a fabulous vacation. "In The Shade is amazing!! I have been to Costa Rica 8 times now and have tried all different places, but this is at the top. The staff is all so friendly and they serve a great cup of coffee in the morning. What really makes this a good place to stay in Tamarindo is that it's very close to the main roads you will want to spend your time at, but the Hotel is very private. The Hotel is cozy, clean and quiet - what more could you ask for? Overall a 10/10 experience, hopefully I will be back!"
