"Ironbark Cabin was the perfect getaway for myself and my partner, a cozy little space with beautiful views, the little bbq oven was perfect for making homemade pizzas, the complimentary items were so lovely. For such an amazing and peaceful little escape that also was not overpriced like so many other listings, we are recommending Ironbark cabin to everyone we know and it will be on our list of places to return to in the future."

"The Shack is a lovely, comfortable place to stay in a beautiful setting. The attention to detail means is excellent and meant we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend visit. Alison was a great host too, we hope to visit again sometime!"

"The double spa bath is very welcome and decadent. The exterior is fun and has a luxurious cottage feel. Outside of that the cottage felt underwhelming, tired and in need of some repair. The bathroom needs regrouting, the vanity light wasn't working, the bed felt small, the main TV kept restarting and the light in the kitchen had a cardboard-box shade. All the appliances felt tired and in need of replacement. For the amount paid, it felt more like a 3 star than a 4 or 5 star stay."

"This cottage ticked all the boxes for us -comfortable, well-furnished, and cute as a button. The bedroom has good bedside lamps for reading and we slept well. The kitchen and living space are well designed and attractively styled. The air-con cools the house nicely, and the fireplace looks very inviting for the winter months. But lovely as the interior is, our favourite spot was the front porch with its sunny aspect and restful view of trees. Hard to say who liked it more - us or our kelpie....

"Lovely property, renovated (but not "restored") to high standard but modern electricals (great wifi, TV) and kitchen/baths. Spacious home, multiple eating areas, quiet street, and with a terrific host. Maldon is a charming small town and well-located to see the goldfields area. Only downside is there are only a couple of places in the town proper to dine out (Castlemaine is close). But a great place with all creature comforts."
