"The location was perfect for the Bourban Trail; we made it to 5 distilleries in 2 days! Beds were comfy, hot tub is great and it was very clean. We appreciated the extra blankets, pillows and soft sheets. The area is beautiful and it’s an easy walk to the lake. We only wished for a few more kitchen utensils and dishcloths and towels. We did a bit of cooking and all like to tidy up. Overall we would all stay here again but for much longer."

"Barefoot Cottage was just a great stay. Location, ease of entry, neighborhood, amenities - all first rate. The hot tub was really a bonus. Would definitely recommend."

"Everything was perfect! Beautiful views, clean home, owner was very responsive and helpful with booking and getting us anything we needed. Even sent someone over with a new propane tank so we could enjoy the outdoor fire pit. It was a perfect centralized location to do multiple locations on the bourbon trail. Would 100% recommend!"

"We stayed here looking for something rural and away from the busy cites for our Bourbon tour trips. It’s locate 30-40 minutes away or closer from all the activities in Louisville and Lexington. And easy to get to any distillery. Quaint little town with some good eats close by. The lake is right there if you have a boat and you can be on it in 5 minutes. Very quiet area. Suzanne was fast to get back to us and solved any minor issues we had. I would stay here again."
