"We enjoyed our very short stay at La Bonita Lodge. Unfortunately the airline lost our luggage so we spent most of our day in San Jose buying clothes before heading down to Puerto Viejo. We arrived late but had a nice dinner at Banana Azul and then were able to use the easy to follow directions to gain access to the property and our room. The room was spotless and welcoming. We weren't able to park our car in the lot as it was full but after contacting the host we were told it was fine to park on...

"This hotel is incredible. Beautifully designed pool and restaurant/bar area with beautiful lighting at night. Impeccably clean with incredibly attentive staff. Very close to the beach as well, which itself is very quiet. We had an absolutely amazing stay and I wish we could have stayed more days. Everything feels very luxury about the place... definitely stay here if you have the chance!"
