Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Berkeley by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"One of the best stays we've had in the bay area to be honest. We needed to change rooms when we arrived due to adding another guest and we need ada. They actually offered for us to look at it beforehand to make sure it accomadated us, we've never encountered that before and it was so wonderful of them to offer. There is free coffee 24/7 in the lobby and it's so good. The staff as well as the cleaning staff are all so welcoming and make you feel right at home. The beds are comfortable, rooms are clean, hallways and elevator as well. Showers are a dream. Food available to purchase is affordable and a good little variety of options. Parking was easy peasy. We were too tired to go to breakfast so can't comment on that unfortunately. There are plenty of places around for food etc as well. We stayed to attend a concert at the Greek theatre and it was only a 9 minute drive away. Area felt very safe. We honestly loved it! Anytime we need to be in the area we plan to stay here. "
"It was a great value for what we got. Updated clean room, comfy bed, free coffee and tea in the lobby, nice roof top lounge area. It wasn’t the close to everything but we didn’t mind. "
"Hotel Nash is a budget hotel, so don't go in expecting anything other than the basics. But if you want to see Berkeley, it's clean, comfortable, and has a fantastic location in the downtown next to campus. I feel I got my money's worth."
"Come for the location and friendly front desk. Don’t come for the shower (weak, inconsistent temperature), or breakfast coffee efficiency (stood in a queue for 15 mins in lobby to get a cup of coffee).
They are redoing the restaurant so maybe some steps in a positive direction, but rooms feel dark and old. Outdated bathrooms. "
