"Stuff lovely but in a room a lot of dust and two massive spiders. In general place is on great location and atmosphere is really nice. Only improvement I can say it needs is that rooms need to be cleaner. "

"I have to stay in St Albans for work from time to time and Torrington Hall is my favourite place to stay. It has so much more character than some of the soulless hotels I have stayed at in the area. It is well located for the town center and the cathedral. The rooms are generally well presented although, because each is different, some are nicer than others. My personal favourite is St Michael's. The rooms are always clean and the beds are super comfy. Parking is never an issue despite being so...

"You expect more when you're paying £100 for 1 night for a room. Small bed (the room itself is tiny: 2.5m x 3m) Sheets not crisp at all. No toiletries and had to share a bathroom with all the other rooms (not great). No milk in the kitchen for coffee and tea (which I would have expected). Very basic accommodation for the price."

"Property is within a private road, with very limited access to visitors. There are a couple of visitors' parking spaces, but those were occupied when I arrived, so I had to park in the nearby public car park. This was free after 6pm, but I had to leave before 9am the next morning to avoid being charged for parking. Other than that, my stay was fine - room was clean and comfortable, and shared bathroom was not an issue, as I think I was the only guest that night."
