"We stayed in this ryokan for a family trip. The city is unknown to non-Japanese people, but the people at the ryokan were so kind and helpful. Sometimes it was not easy to communicate as their English was not the best, but they tried their best to help. The meals were awesome, and the bath places were great as well. We were totally satisfied and I strongly recommend this place."
"Loved our stay here. We were a family of four, all adults. Very quiet and tranquil. Staff was exceptionally helpful. Their english is limited but we used Google Translate to communicate. We had a lovely time here and would definitely come back."
"No English title of the hotel outside. However it is very easy and within walking distance. Basic hotel with simple breakfast offered. It is okay overall."
"Good to stay. Quiet and safe. There's next to Ueda station, Other side of station has more choices of great restaurant but, too loud. So this hotel is good choice."
"The owner who was only the other person there was very kind and drove me up to the bus stop with my heavy luggage in very snowy, icy conditions, beautiful views, winter wonderland of snow and ice. incredible views."
"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is very nicely decorated & cozy.
An excellent location (in the woods feel), though we did lost our way. Looking for it.
But it was all worth it.
A great property for staycation!"

"Wonderful, European styled accommodations and hotel. Clean, tastefully designed and decorated. Love the unique layout of an all-inclusive town. only wish more things were open, but I’m guessing that’s due to the low tourist season. Will be back to this hotel when we explore during a more open season the entrance is tricky. It’s on the side street with parking across."

"Room I stayed had beautiful view of ski resort, but it was very quiet, also how they arranged the bathroom and toilet and wash basins was very nice to shared by two persons and with privacy.
Also hotel offered very nice public bath, which I would like to recommand very highly.
However, choice of food could of been wider, but all and all this place was alot better located and offed better food than other hotels I stayed at Karuizawa before."

"Not sure where the -ve reviews are coming from but we absolutely had a good stay here. It's not right next to the train station but close enough, 5 min walk. There is shuttle service provided to the train station (outlet) and the ski centre.
For those driving EV, there is charging available."
