"This hotel is lovely. Its our second time and plan on returning. The spa and rooms are lovely. Table service at the spa which was handy. The staff were friendly and helpful. Dinner was a little slow but the service was great and the food tasted lovely."

"This is a wonderful hotel. Spacious, comfortable and quiet rooms. And excellent restaurant with views over Torbay. The bar has an outside patio that also offers stunning views. The pool is great with steam room, jacuzzi and saunas. There is a secluded pebble beach next to the hotel that's very pleasant. Our only issue is that the car park is too small and the spaces are also too thin for modern cars. A very minor issue though."

"Loved the room and the view, staff were really friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. One issue was that there was a wine stain on the carpet beside the bed, I reported it to the cleaning staff as I didn’t want them thinking it was our fault. They cleaned the room each day but did nothing about the stain on the carpet. The other issue was the water pressure, there was a lovely big bath but it took an age to fill up"

"The hotel was clean but it is a bit dated and could do with an upgrade (but due to its size, that would be a major piece of work). The breakfast was great, the pools were great and there are plenty of different options for evening entertainment from the main hall to smaller pub areas. There is parking on site which can get busy but they have introduced a parking charge if you book through outside agencies such as Expedia of £10 per night. If you book with the hotel direct you don't pay this...
