"The Hotel is approx 2 minutes walk from Torquay train station so very convenient . The foyer , entrance dining rooms bar area, swimming pool area are all excellently decorated in a style suitable for the age of the hotel, Th staff were also excellent. Our room was on the 3rd floor and we could use the stairs or lift. The room itself was practical and comfortable , but just a little bit dated compared to some other 4 start hotels of a similar age we have stayed in, as there was no air conditioning it would have been nice to have an electric fan to blow air around the room. In particular, the bathroom whilst functional , in my opinion could do with an update and a complete freshen up .....although it was perfectly usable. I cannot comment on any other room other than mine though and other rooms might have been updated. The bottom line is would i stay there again and the answer is YES. We really enjoyed our stay and the food at breakfast was varied and excellent. "

"We had a wonderful stay at Moxy from start to finish. It started with a lovely welcome from a professional and friendly team member. They even gave us a welcome cocktail which was a lovely touch. The rooms are clean, modern and very comfortable. Breakfast was ok, not bad but the bacon was overdone. The real bonus of this hotel is the reception and bar. It is a really lovely space that I'd happily spend all day in. There was also a small gym which was basic but nicely equipped and clean. Overall I'd definitely recommend a stay here, especially as the price is so good. "
