"The food was excellent and there is plenty of variety to choose from. The staff is very dedicated and working hard to make it a pleasant experience for each guest. The resort is massive and we walked usually 5 miles a day to get back and forth to the pools, ocean, restaurants. We loved the water slide area it is not just for kids! What we didn’t love was the amount of drunkenness. If you have young kids I don’t recommend the beach pools especially in the afternoon. The party atmosphere near the beach can get loud and obnoxious. We did hear some partying late at night but it’s closer to the RIU Party zone. Overall my husband and I were very impressed with the quality and cleanliness of the resort and we plan to go back. "

"The hotel was great, guests not so much. We wanted a swimmable beach and so chose the Fiesta Americana. It is a family-friendly resort and there were screaming children almost everywhere, at all times. Also, the quiet side, facing west, has construction of a new facility that ran 15 hours per day (actually, 20 hours one day). "
