"We have stayed at this hotel many times and keep on returning, which is the best recommendation we can give. The reception staff is always alert and willing to help. There are few "down issues" one being a chronic problem trying to turn off lights over the bed. It is an electric wiring defect. Again, reception staff are ready to help. I have not stayed at many hotels in Varna, but will return to the Golden Tulip when the time comes"

"front desk staff was so nice. I arrived very early and she was able to let me into my room earlier than the check in time! The transit system around the hotel is very good and there is a great gas station next to the hotel convenience. It is also very close and walkable to many major sites, the beach, museums and more. The room itself was very clean, it was a HUGE room. The bed was comfortable and the re was more than enough space to relax."

"I recently booked a stay at this hotel through Expedia, and I must say it was a disappointing experience. Upon arriving at the hotel the room was not ready and was dirty (even though it was already 3pm). When we asked for towels the "clean" ones that were provided had a ball of hair inside and stains. "A very nice hotel in the center of Varna. There are many dining options nearby and the hotel itself has a restaurant and bar as well. The breakfast buffet is great and provides lot's of different options, both sweet and savoury. The rooms are rather large and fitted with air conditioners. I will definitely visit again."

Such lost potential

"This place has potential but it needs refurbishment to improve its facilities. The toilet is in the shower. Shower water fills the bathroom floor, as there is no cubical. There is no hair dryer, and no air condition in the bedroom. There was one air condition in the adjacent living room. The matress was hard and old. No selection for breakfast, take it or leave it. Restaurant menu selection is very poor. There is one shuttle bus to go to the beach and back. Bar is there but practically non existant. Tv reception was very poor due to issues with internet. When we stayed, there were 2 groups of small children using the pool facilities. We had to opt to go else were. "
