Experience the calming atmosphere and gourmet tastes of Turtle Cove. This busy marina is the main hub of Providenciales’ north coast and has a number of restaurants, bars and luxury resorts around its shorefront. Enjoy comfortable accommodation and then delight in vibrant marine sights as you fish, snorkel, dive or water-ski.
As you walk, admire views of the Turtle Cove Marina, where glamorous yachts bob on their moorings. Built in 1988, this marina can host up to 100 boats, ranging in size from small dinghies to flashy yachts. Turtle Cove locals enjoy a laidback lifestyle, which makes it easy to feel relaxed in the quiet marina streets.
One of the marina’s best features is its restaurants, which serve incredible international cuisine with views of the ocean. Savour gourmet Italian or try a traditional island dish while you share a bottle of wine.
Just a short walk from Turtle Cove, a beach provides access to Smith’s Reef. Hire snorkelling gear and observe the movements of lively sea creatures, including hawksbill turtles, sea cucumbers, anemones and green parrotfish.
Find a nice spot around the marina and try your hand at fishing. Equipment can be hired from local operators. For a heart-starting thrill, try water-skiing, Jet Skiing or banana boat rides. Tours and watersports lessons can be organised through the marina’s tourist agencies or your hotel.
Land-based fun can be had with a car or bicycle trip through the cove’s rugged surrounding landscapes. Hire a car and drive just 15 minutes to Grace Bay Beach, which features a pristine beach and more marine scenery. Alternatively, work on your swing at the island’s 18-hole golf course.
Turtle Cove is a 15-minute drive from Providenciales Airport. Find it to the west of Bight Park and Coral Gardens, reserves that form part of the Princess Alexandra National Park.
