The resort itself was beautiful. The food they served there was amazing as well. The employees were all kind and helpful and accommodating. We had a deluxe pool villa but did not feel maximum privacy due to where it was on the main walking path.

This Spa hotel is excellent. Sadly next door hotel is being rebuilt so weekday 9-5 is very noisy at front of hotel. The spa is excellent, the food is good and it is not the hotel’s fault about the neighbour hotel rebuild programme. I am lucky as I’m now in a villa away from the builders and no longer hear them. Be clear when you book if you plan to be in the hotel during weekday daytime you can deal with the noise.

We enjoyed our stay as much as possible at the Sankara Resort. The staff was amazing and attentive and so nice. Our room was very organized and clean as well as provided what we asked. The shuttle bus they have offered is limited to time constraints however very convenient to use rather than walking in the area. If they had more time slots/ flexible times for the shuttle, then it would have been more convenient. This place is a hidden gem as such places in Ubud.

We stayed at this hotel for a couple of nights with some family. The hotel is slightly out of the main centre of Ubud, but the hotel provide a regular shuttle bus free of charge and taxis are very reasonably priced. We booked the ‘basic’ room which was great, plenty of room and very well equipped with everything you’d expect and more. The hotel is fairly small but has all the facilities you need, spa, pool, bar, restaurant etc. We had breakfast included which was very good, with plenty of choice from the menu. The staff are all lovely, very friendly and attentive. I’d certainly recommend this hotel.

The staff are very kind and friendly. I will never forget their love. Even the rooms that are not villas have large bathtubs, and the rooms are spacious and open. The pool is small, but it is surrounded by plenty of plants and is quiet and relaxing. There is a private shuttle in the center of Ubud, and if you book on whats app an hour before the scheduled time, they will pick you up and drop you off for free. The journey takes about 20 minutes. They are flexible with private tours and the price is reasonable. Recommended for a quiet and private trip. The Japanese website says that yoga activities start at 7.00am, but it was actually 8.00am, so it's better to check in advance.

We enjoyed our stay immensely. We had a villa with a private pool which was completely serene. The staff were friendly and always available to help or answer questions. Menu was delicious with many options. The drinks from the bar were incredible! I would recommend the strawberry and mango daiquiris. The rooms were comfortable. The only suggestion I might have is if they could provide more drinkable water in the rooms. We would definitely stay here again.
