"Great 1 night stay. Wish we stayed longer. So relaxing looking out over the fields whilst sitting eating our dinner by the fire pit. Felt like you were miles from civilisation but you werent far from suburbia."

"The house and grounds were very nice, but the amenities were very poor: When we arrived (5 adults, 1 child aged 8 and 1 infant) there were only 4 bath towels in the house and they were all wet. There was wet washing in the washing machine and in the dryer. At least 6 lights had blown globes and a number of light switches were taped over. There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher and various open food packets in the kitchen cupboards. The central heating/air conditioning only worked upstairs. The only heating downstairs was an electric heater and the slow combustion fire. While there was firewood provided there was no kindling or firelighters to start the fire (we have a slow combustion heater at home which we use regularly so we know how to start a fire). The smoke detector in the stairwell had no cover and appeared damaged. Only 1 of 3 bathrooms functioned - 1 had a blown light and the shower in the other did not attach to the hook provided so was hand held only. We had contacted the host prior to arrival to enquire if the house had a cot or high chair considering the listing says it caters for ages from 0. His response was “No but it is worth considering for the future”. When we tried to contact the host about towels when we arrived there was no response until after we had checked out as he was “out of range”. We said we expect a refund as having no towels was totally unacceptable on its own without all the other issues. (We had gone into town and bought towels). "

"Lovely place to stay- peaceful and safe. Easy parking, wifi in an otherwise township 'dead zone'. Close to everything with lovely friendly host and staff. Dinners available and a neat BBQ area. Just a note: Go prepared with your own water and bbq supplies as the closest towns are both over an hour away and the small village shop isnt really that well stocked."

"If you want to spend some time in a beautiful secluded spot with all the comforts of home then this is the place. Comfortable beds, clean and welcoming. Easy to self cater with full kitchen, spectacular views .We will return. "

"Historic hotel with 5 fireplaces, superb food, timber bar and just generally a nice family feel, Electric blankets are very warm, sheets crisp and towels very white. Simple breakfast included with nice balconies and north side garden. Went for a short 5 min walk and saw ten kangaroos, Took a great photo of the hotel from the front.but no way to share here. Hope the front balcony damagefrom the wayward car is fixed soon. Finally, we stayed at Royal Capertee on our way to visit the oil shale works and we’re not disappointed with the 2 hour tour."

"We absolutely loved our stay here! We'd been looking to tick off a tiny house stay for the longest time & we definitely weren't disappointed! Not looking at our maps properly, it was a lot further from most of the Blue Mountain attractions we originally planned on visiting but we honestly didn't mind in the end as we really just wanted to get away from the city and ended up spending the whole time on the property. Kitchen worked great and we loved the eco-friendly aspect of the stay. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a farm stay/getaway from the city but strongly recommend those travelling for the Blue Mountains to factor in the drive to the main walks/attractions"
