Evergreen lodge was quaint and convenient. It’s walkable to both Vail village and Lionshead village. The shuttle stop is a 2 minute walk from the hotel if you choose that mode of transportation instead. There’s a 24 hour gym and hot tub. Loved that there was a ski rental facility in the lobby. Added bonus was the complimentary mini breakfast in the morning and snacks in the evening. It’s by no means a luxurious hotel but it has all the features that we were looking for (and more) without paying 900$ per night at other more upscale hotels.

Upon arrival my Expedia reservation was not in the hotel’s system. However, the hotel staff fortunately found us a room during a very busy time. Thanks to the hotel staff. Other than that hotel met all our needs. Clean, and most importantly within walking distance of Lionshead.

It’s a loud property. A lot of people go to the bar downstairs and there’s a lot of boozy people wandering out of the bar. If you have young children, or teenage girls, you need to be careful.

We had such a great stay. Staff made us feel very welcome and were extremely helpful. The rooms are nice and great for people who are here to ski and not too fussed about a 5 star accommodation. Great proximity to Lionshead about a 5 minute walk from the door to slopes. Hot tub was great and they leave out snacks in the foyer at breakfast and in the afternoon. Overall we loved our stay it was exactly what we were looking for would definitely stay here again.

The location is great. Easy to get everywhere. Our main concerns were: the gas smell from the fireplace and the first impression of the Lodge - the images on Expedia and reality do not match. But the hotel itself is very warm and in ok condition.
