"I arrived and was immediately checked in. Room was clean and in good condition but the ac did have a hard time cooling the room. My room had a patio to the pool which was nice. Smoking isnt permitted on the property so you have to go out the front reception. The food was very nice and the restaurants for dinner were very polite, fast and great tasting. There was some construction but it didmt interfere with my stay. The shows they have are nice and people seemed to enjoy the karaoke. "

"The hotel is kept exceptionally clean. The staff very accommodating - even those with limited English. The beds in the small, but comfortable room, are very very comfortable. Of course, the location is prime - with magical views from the rooftop, and bars, restaurants, the ocean, and the pier all extremely close. The hotel is across from a beautiful park. "We lived our stay at the Melia dues to its location and customer service. We enjoy going to town to experience meals and culture and the hotel was within walking distance of the Marina, which has great food options and several bars. We also booked our fishing excursions through Jesus along the marina. The food was okay-not great, but not terrible. There were plenty of options to choose from. Customer service was amazing! Everyone was super kind and friendly, and went above and beyond to meet our needs. The rooms were clean, roomy and every room had an ocean view. There is a great pool and also a small beach on property. We would definitely recommend the Hotel Melia and will probably stay here again if we come back to puerto Vallarta."
