"Location of property is perfect for walking to all the main areas for sight seeing and plenty of restaurant options nearby. The hotel staff were very friendly and cleanliness excellent. The rooms are on the small side, no wardrobe but there is a rail to hang clothes. No view due to location, and breakfast is busy at weekends but plenty of continental food options available. Would definitely use D8 again for a weekend trip"

"In a great location, right by the metro which made getting around Budapest so easy! The room itself was so cool with the stairs up to another bed and we were so grateful for the fridge and kettle! It was nice and quiet every night, no issues. We used our hotel towels at the thermal spa, they did not dry quickly so I asked at reception and they gave me fresh towels no problem. Lovely staff, great location, great price."

"The sliding door of the shower kept sliding back, couldn't have a proper shower. Asked staff to fix it on the second day, didn't fix it. Only staying for 2 nights so I just put up with it without asking the staff for help again. Overall, the room was clean and the hotel was safe. Scenic spots in Budapest are basically all packed in the city centre and therefore transport from the hotel was convenient. Staff offered luggage storage after check out for travellers who have flights later in the day....

"They need to renew the facilities and their furniture. The upholstery of the furniture gives a bad impression although in its heyday it must have been a luxurious hotel. Because of the location, if you invested in its facilities, it would be better than any hotel near the Danube. However, it is worth staying there."
