NYC began in this area and the city’s fascinating history still shines through, but it’s now mixed with Wall Street’s modern international institutions.
Wall Street is the heart and birthplace of NYC. George Washington was inaugurated in the Federal Hall National Memorial to become the first president of the United States. The Charging Bull and Fearless Girl statues stand outside the New York Stock Exchange with the Gothic Revival masterpiece of Trinity Church nearby. Towering above is One World Trade Center, the tallest building in the US, from where you can peer down into the 9/11 Memorial & Museum.
