"We had an amazing experience at this property. It sits on a mountain with spectacular views over a beautiful valley, in particular at sunrise and sunset. The house is very spacious and comfortable. It's fairly new, in great condition, and clean. We would definitely rent the house again, but not through VRBO/Vacasa, as Vacasa was not there to assist us when we needed them most. Upon our arrival, we found an outside door unlocked. We called Vacasa seeking contact with the local manager (who never contacted us) and then, feeling unsafe, called 911. Two state troopers arrived and thoroughly searched the house, and they declared the house safe. That same evening, we kept calling and texting Vacasa for the house manager to come fix the lock that evening or send someone to do this. That evening we did not receive a call from a local manager, and, feeling unsafe, we checked into the local Best Western at around 10:30 pm. Only after we returned to the home the next morning and called Vacasa again, a local repair person arrived who fixed the lock on the door. It seems that there is no local manager for this particular house. Vacasa was missing in action at a time when it was their role to help us out. Vacasa did not respond to our complaint and request for damages by phone, email, and letter. Ultimately they paid, but it was a lengthy and painful process. We are definitely not going to rent through VRBO/Vacasa again. Having said that, we highly recommend the house!"
